Newbery winner 2004:
Kate Dicamillo, author: The Tale of Despereaux, being the story of a
mouse, a princess, some soup, and a spool of thread.
Caldecott winner 2004:
Mordicai Gerstein, author and illustrator: The man who walked
between the towers. (about a man who walked a tightrope stretched between
the twin towers of the World Trade Center).
More information will be available about the honor books and other awards
when Amanda returns tomorrow. She just wanted y'all to have the latest word
