One way to capture reliable and meaningful computer data is through the Biblionix software that CTLS will fund for each member library. Biblionix doesn't capture how many people used the computer but it does report hours of usage for individual workstations each day or each week or by whatever criteria you select. You can see the type of statistics that the software captures at http://www.biblionix.com/services.pl?service=workstation Beth Wheeler Fox, Library Director Westbank Community Library 1309 Westbank Dr, Austin, TX 512-314-3580 > -----Original Message----- > From: Jenny Ur [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, July 22, 2004 2:07 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: statistics question... > > I need a good, tangible way to express how much our public internet > computers are used. > How does everyone else calculate that? > I have taken the percentage of hours that we're open with names signed up > for internet time before-is that the only way to describe how much they are > used? > > I'd also like to thank everyone who responded to my question last time about > ALA.
