Subject: Business Directory Scam

Just thought I would throw in my two cents on this topic. I just had a phone
call from someone trying to sell me the "second volume" to the "U.S.
Business Directory". Being somewhat skeptical (thanks to posters on this
list), I asked for a return telephone number so I could check things out
with acquisitions prior to confirming our address.

The seller got rude but finally gave me a number of 1-800-639-1030 and his
name, "Jackson". A call to this number refers one to another 800 number
which in turn refers the caller to a 900 sex talk line. FYI. Janet

Just a reminder to be wary of telephone calls about orders you haven't made.
Tell them you have to check your order records, and ask for a number to call
back. If they get rude, it's an indication that this is not legitimate.

It's best not to order from telephone salespeople, regardless of how great a
deal sounds.
