Are you looking to apply for a grant in the near future? Interested in advice and tips directly from foundations? Then you should attend the Meet Texas Funders videoconference which will feature a panel of representatives from three Texas foundations and one state representative. These funders will discuss their foundations and provide tips on submitting grants. Issues to be addressed during this panel discussion include projects of interest, examples of funded projects, eligibility, and much more. In addition, there will be a question and answer session in which the panel will welcome any questions you have concerning their grants. Panelists are: Jim Leyden, Ex. Director of External Affairs - The SBC Foundation Carol A. Stabler, Director of Communications - The Meadows Foundation Darryl Tocker, Ex. Director - The Tocker Foundation Kathleen Walls, Grants Coordinator - TSLAC - Texas Reads grant OBJECTIVES: After attending this videoconference, participants will: * Increase their knowledge of the funders' missions, grant-making priorities, and available grant opportunities * Identify ways to make their grants fundable * Gain confidence in applying for grants with represented funders DATES & LOCATIONS: This workshop will be held via videoconference at seven (7) locations on Tuesday, May 10, 2005.
