The Form 471 filing window will open on December 6, 2005. That's next Tuesday! http://www.sl.universalservice.org/whatsnew/2005/112305.asp It will open on 12/6/05 and will close on Thursday, February 16, 2006. What does this mean to you? Well, remember the Form 471 is the SECOND form in the E-Rate filing process. So, be sure to file your Form 470 (the first form) if you haven't already done so!!! The Form 470 MUST be posted a MINIMUM of 28 days BEFORE you can file your Form 471. If your Form 470 was posted today, you would be able to file a Form 471 on December 29, 2005. If you posted your Form 470 back in October, then you'll be able to file your Form 471 on December 6th! If you are a procrastinator, then please note that you will need to have your Form 470 POSTED by no later than January 18, 2006 or your Form 471 can't be filed within the window!
