Library Technology NOW! Announces Release of Web 2.0 Tools
FORT WORTH — July 25, 2006 — Library Technology NOW is proud to announce the release of Library Technology NOW 2.0(http://ltngroup.ning.com) and related Web 2.0 tools. Library Technology NOW 2.0 is an Online Social Networking Site with the purpose of bringing library people together to discuss technology. “Our hope is that individuals interested in library technology will use Library Technology NOW 2.0, and our other Web 2.0 tools, to share news, opinions and wisdom with each other. It is a logical evolution to our more traditional website,” said Adam Wright, President of the Library Technology NOW Editorial Board. The other Web 2.0 tools include a LTN Wishlist (http://ltnwishlist.ning.com/) where people can share their library technology wishes with each other. LTN Question and Answer (http://ltnqna.ning.com/) is described as an “Advice” column for library technology run by library peers. LTN Review It (http://ltnreviewit.ning.com/) is a less structured approach to the traditional library technology reviews. All Library Technology NOW Web 2.0 tools were built using the Ning.com platform. About LTN Library Technology NOW! was founded in early 2004 by the North Texas Regional Library System’s Technology Committee and the Automation and Technology Round Table of the Texas Library Association. Other partners include Texas Woman’s Univ., Univ. of North Texas, Texas A&M Kingsville and Univ. of Texas at Arlington. ######### For more information: Adam Wright, 1-800-856-3050, [EMAIL PROTECTED], or visit Library Technology NOW at http://www.librarytechnologynow.org
