All,

Please check all emails whose subject line starts with "SPAM:", which should
all be routed to your Junk E-mail folder (I created a rule in Outlook on all
of your PCs). So far, I think the spam filtering on our new firewall is
very accurate--all emails tagged with "SPAM:" slipped past our current (and
soon to be retired) Symantec antispam server--but false positives like
Lulu's email below can happen, although this is the first false positive
that I've encountered. In short, just let me know if any legitimate emails
get tagged with "SPAM:" so I can add the sender to our new firewall's
whitelist.

FYI, once our website is hosted externally, I will bring the email server
inside the firewall and most spam will be rejected outright (instead of just
being tagged as spam). Afterwards, you should receive a lot less spam in
Outlook.

Thanks,

Mike

Lulu,

I just noticed that your email message was tagged "SPAM" by our new firewall
because the message originated from a Yahoo email server whose IP address is
on our firewall's "AntiSpam ip blacklist.(path black ip 170.76.20.253)."
I'll add your email address to the firewall's whitelist so it doesn't get
tagged as spam in the future.

Thanks,

Mike Buras

Thanks for confirming your address. Perhaps it was just a temporary email
server issue.
