HeritageQuest Pledge Drive Info for 2006-2007
Good afternoon :
I have good news for TexShare member libraries.
I wanted to give the membership an update on the HeritageQuest pledge drive. For the last several years we have conducted a pledge drive for the renewal of the HeritageQuest subscription. This pledge drive format provided for the continued subscription to HeritageQuest for every library in TexShare because of your support HeritageQuest remained in the TexShare core menu. Now for the good news: There will not be a pledge drive for the HeritageQuest database this year.
Thanks to the generosity of the Texas library community last year combined with the TSLAC budget this year we were able to renew the HeritageQuest subscription without having to conduct a pledge drive. HeritageQuest remains a part of the TexShare core menu. Your database program participate fee is part of the budget that makes all of the electronic resources available in the TexShare core menu. I can't say we'll never have to conduct another pledge drive. Each legislative session is different and I don't know what our next budget may be until the end of the session but, I am always optimistic. If you have any questions about the TexShare databases please contact me.
