We’ve noticed a number of people are registering for the January 26th CTLS
membership meeting and/or the “Love me Love my Books” workshop, but not for
the Friends of CTLS Fundraising Luncheon. If you can possibly afford to
attend the luncheon, please do so. CTLS is required by the State Library to
come up with $2,323 per year (outside of grant funds) for what are called
“unallowable costs” (expenditures an auditor might say are not allowed by
Federal or State accounting regulations.

Our main source for these funds is you – by your membership or your Friends’
contributions to “Friends of CTLS” and by your purchase of a ticket for this
luncheon. While we have three corporate sponsors, their contributions will
get us less than ½ the way to our goal. I know this is a difficult time of
year to come up with $20 but believe me, we wouldn’t ask if we didn’t need
it! And if you want to come to the luncheon, but can’t afford the full
cost, please e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let us know what you can
afford to pay. We may be able to find someone to cover up to half of your
$20 ticket.

Please come – it won’t be the same without you there!
