We've had them in our library for about 4 years or so. Training is
important, however. We're probably due for an update in training as
well.

Subject: [slm] AED's in libraries

Hi everyone,

TSLAC just had Automatic External Defribillators installed on every
floor
and it got me thinking about other public spaces, such as libraries.
These
are not cheap from the research I've done (atleast 2k), but might make a
worthwhile grant proposal if your city/county does not have plans to
install
them in the future.

Those installed at the State Library are wall mounted and from a company
called Cardiac Science. Might be worth looking into.

Here's a website that compares some of the major AED's for public use:
http://www.aed.com/products/

Thanks, Dawn
