This is the beginning of the 30 day public comment period. Those wishing to comment should submit their comment in writing (email or mail) to me using the contact information below. 1. To view the rule postings go to: http://www.sos.state.tx.us/ 2. Select the Texas Register link from the box at the top labelled "Texas Register" and having "State Rules and Open Meetings" below the box - the direct link is http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/index.shtml 3. The rules are published in the April 27 edition. Because it is the current edition this coming week you will see that date at the top of the list and can select it directly. Next Friday you will need to select April 27 from University of North Texas back issue archive link directly beneath the current date link. 4. You have the choice of viewing the document in either PDF or HTML versions. Go to the "Proposed Rules" section. Proposed rules are in order by title. The Texas State Library is in Title 13 - Cultural Resources. You will see first the proposed amended text for 13 TAC 1.47 (Consulting and Continuing Education Services) and 1.67 (Federal Priorities), then the proposed new and amended rules 1.91 (system operation grants) and 1.96 (system operation grants formula), and finally the proposed deleted 1.96 and 1.97. The proposed change in the Loan Star Libraries funding formula follows, as proposed amended 13 TAC 2.814. Please let me know if you have any questions.
