This position is responsible to create, prepare, promote, deliver and report all youth programming for the library. In addition, this employee maintains statistics, assists with materials selection, operates circulation as needed, creates reports, maintains the children's and youth areas, attends continuing education classes upon request, and represents the library at appropriate functions. Applicants must have experience (paid or unpaid) with libraries and children, computer skills, familiarity with children's literature and learning, networking and customer service skills, adaptability, and a professional manner. Four-year degree is preferred. This is a part-time position for ~25 hours per week. Hours are flexible and will include mostly days with some programs on weekends or evenings. The library offers regular reviews, paid training, and a genuinely fun work atmosphere. Interested persons should fill out an application at the library during regular hours and may attach a resume.
