CTLS Continuing Education Committee - Call for Volunteers I attended an LSA (Library Systems Act) board meeting Monday July 2nd and got a great suggestion from NTRLS (North Texas Regional Library System). They have a CE Planning Committee, which helps decide the continuing education events for the year - topics, dates, locations, possible trainers, etc. I think this is a great idea - Suzan and I send out surveys, and that's very helpful, but it would be great if we had a group of people to help us brainstorm. It would be nice to have a couple of non-public librarians on the committee too - representing central Texas school districts and community college districts, for example. If you are interested, or if you know of someone who would be a great addition to this group, please email me [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Our meetings could be conference calls, or be held in conjunction with other events, so that it's not a burden for participants. Please respond ASAP, as plans for next year are shaping up fast!
