It does not affect any academic or public libraries that may have subscriptions to Britannica resources. This information relates to the announcement I sent out on 10/12/07 about Encyclopaedia Britannica winning the award for the encyclopedia contract for Texas K12 public school libraries. ******************************************************************** To Current Britannica Online Subscribers: Since announcing the statewide subscription to Britannica Online for for Texas K12 public school libraries, we've had several questions from current Britannica Online subscribers. All subscribers will retain their contracted subscriptions through November 30, 2007. The TSLAC agreement starts December 1st, and until that time the preview access is limited to the TSLAC preview page and full product support is not in place. If you currently subscribe to Britannica Online through a DIRECT contract between your library or district and Britannica, please contact Becky Henry at Encyclopaedia Britannica regarding your refund. Schools will receive the unused portion of their subscriptions or they may choose to purchase other Britannica products for their schools.
