Subject: [ctls-l] Overdue charges

What is your library charging for overdues these days?

$.10 a day for most materials; $.50 a day for test books and
videos/dvd's; $1.00 a day for ILL items

Is it different for adults and children?

No

Does it vary by format?

Yes, see above

Is there a maximum, and if so, what is it? Does that vary by format and
age of patron?

In most cases the fine tops out at the price of the item. For some
reason we top out at $10.00 for videos/dvd's.

Age of the patron is not a factor.

Please respond to the list. One of our newer librarians would like to
know.

Thanks.

Laurie
