The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) is pleased to
announce the release of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA)
grant round for fiscal year 2010.  Five separate grant opportunities are
available.  

Information on the Competitive, Library System Competitive and Special
Project grants can be found at

program provides funds for programs that promote cooperative services
for learning and access to information. Programs involving collaboration
are encouraged. The Library System grant program provides funds to
assist library systems to plan and develop programs in which system
member public libraries collaborate and cooperate with other types of
libraries in the region.  The Special Project grant program provides
funds for programs that expand library services to all members of the

Grant funds public library programs to promote reading and literacy
within local communities. This program is administered by the Texas
State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) and partially funded by
proceeds of the sale of Texas Reads specialty license plates available
through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). See
