Summer Reading is behind us, but many of us are already planning for next year.
Several CTLS libraries participated in "Reading with Ringling," a program that
promotes the circus and rewards children with free tickets for completing their
summer reading. I learned of this program when a patron thanked us for NOT
participating. Ringling has long been criticized for noncompliance with the
Animal Welfare Act, and an undercover investigation in June revealed handlers
beating elephants with bullhooks.

Just something to consider in planning for next year!
