One of our member libraries received a phone call yesterday from someone who stated that the library needed to pay over $400 to be listed in "the yellow pages".
He referenced the previous librarian (must have seen her name somewhere). DO NOT fall for this! Library listings in local phone directories are free. Only if you purchase a large ad would it be this kind of money. ***** Snopes says that the rumor making the rounds about having to call the National Do Not Call registry about your cell phone is false.
