Join the free monthly webinar of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, South Central Region (NN/LM SCR). The next meeting is Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.(CT) and the topic will be The Boomers are Coming: Prepare for the New Age of Seniors. The first of the Baby Boomers will reach 65 in 2011 and by 2030 the number of Americans over 65 is expected to double. Learn about some cognition and vision issues that happen as we and our patrons age, some specific information about the Boomer generation, and what your library can do to prepare to help with their health information needs. The presenter will be Karen Vargas, NN/LM SCR Consumer Health Outreach Coordinator. All web conferences are conducted via the Adobe Connect web meeting system. No software installation is needed--to join the conference simply click on the URL: https://webmeeting.nih.gov/scr/, chose "Enter as a Guest", and type in your name. Once you enter the online meeting room, follow the instructions on the screen to have the system call you on your telephone.
