These forms have not traditionally been offered as part of the IRS forms to
libraries program. We ask businesses to obtain those themselves. I'm treasurer
of a non-profit, and have to complete the 1099s for people who are not
incorporated. I ordered the 2009 1099s the beginning of this calendar year. It
should be part of the process for businesses as only businesses issue those to
individuals (not corporations) they previously paid.

Some of the tax forms are 3-part forms such as the W-2s, W-4s and 1099 and will
not print. They need to be ordered from
the business section on the IRS website.

I have not received any yet. I was frustrated
last year as well; we had to print them off of the internet. However, that
is a charge per copy.

Let us know if you find out how to get copies in
the library.

For the past four years, Liberty
Hill has not received tax forms to distribute to our community. Once
again, I’ve spent hours on the phone getting the run around at the IRS in
trying to locate who I talk to in order to carry them. I’ve decided to
approach this through the back door at this point and ask the rest of you
librarians, who do I contact so that our library may have tax forms available
to the community? I’m sure Georgetown and Leander would appreciate me
not sending our ppl their way this year AGAIN!!!! Thanks
  all.
