The National Network of Libraries of Medicine, South Central Region (NN/LM SCR) is happy to announce a new funding opportunity now available: Community Preparedness Day Award The purpose of the Community Preparedness Day Award is to assist libraries in becoming active partners in their community's emergency preparedness, response and recovery planning activities. The objectives of Community Preparedness Day are: Integrate and involve libraries into their community's emergency preparedness, response and recovery planning activities; Provide access to emergency management information tools and resources to first responders, public health workforce, health care professionals and the community; Promote and publicize the role libraries can play in emergency preparedness. Amount of funding: Two (2) projects up to $5,000 each will be awarded.
