Subject: [slm] FREE Creating a Successful Teen Advisory Board
Webinar,April 7th, 10-11am

Hi everyone,

We're hosting a webinar upcoming on April 7, 2010, so please feel free
to forward this info.

Creating a successful teen advisory board can invest your teen audience
in the library and in their community. What if teens aren't currently
coming into your library? Well, no better way to get them interested
than to put them in charge of their own library destiny by creating a
teen advisory board. Valerie Jensen of the Chambers County Library
System in Anahuac, Texas will discuss her library's efforts to get the
teens in the door and keep them interested. She will specifically
address how their library created their advisory board, will outline
some successful programs and fundraising projects from their T.A.B and
share her overall experience in getting local teens excited about their
library. CCLS has a dynamic teen blog, so take a look before you attend:

Recently, Valerie also worked with two local teens on writing pieces of
the Texas Teens Read! programming manual for 2010. She does have a way
of inspiring her local teens! Check out the Anime Clubs & Cons program
and the Let's Get Digital programs here:
