They were named a Library Journal Star Library in their expenditure category, ranking 6th out of a group of 31 libraries nationwide. Ratings were based on per capita circulation, visits, program attendance, and public internet terminal use. Only 7 Texas libraries got these designations. See the article in the November 15 LJ.
