We pay for a performer a week during summer reading. Some of the money comes
from the Friends, and some from the City (depending on the year and the budget
constraints). They are extremely popular. For more information you might want
to contact our children's librarian, Erin Gaines at
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> when she gets back from
vacation on Thursday.

Good luck with this!

Subject: [ctls-l] Summer Reading

How many Libraries have paid performers for the Summer Reading Program? I have
a hard time getting permission to have paid performers, and I am looking for
information to convince some people that it is a good idea.
