Our primary school (PreK - 2nd) has hosted Joe Scruggs several times - he is
fantastic - even with a group of 300+ students. Kids were singing his songs for
days afterward. Older kids may not be as entertained, but if adults are any
indication, I think he would carry the older kids, too.

As for purging - I know it is recommended, but not something we do on a set
schedule. We don't purge any that have fines, records, problems, etc., and do
take out patrons that we know have passed away. We do have one or two patrons
come in each week saying that they haven't used their card in a long time and
we'll still have them from 3-4 years back. If we can just update their
information - they're back in business, so when I become organized enough to
schedule purgings, I will probably go at least 3 years of inactivity.

Subject: [ctls-l] Two questions

Please reply to the list. Thanks!
Laurie

1.        Has anyone had Joe Scruggs as a performer?

2.       Do you purge inactive users from your system after a certain length of
time?  If so, how long do you wait before deleting them?  If not, do you just
carry them forever in your count of total borrowers?

Thanks!

Barbara
