Just in case you can't get me when you are ready -- Dripping Springs
(Morgan), Wimberley (Tom Watson), Liberty Hill, Leander, lake Travis,
Lago Vista, and many others use DeepFreeze and know it better than I.
Feel free to call one of them if you get stuck, or send a cry for help
out to the list ([email protected])

I'm on the road a lot with these Workforce PC installations, so catching
me may get difficult.

How is your Workforce PC going?

There is never any time to talk about Deepfreeze. Our accountant is
about to be here to talk about our 990 which is due in a few days.

I found a flashdrive with deepfreeze on it and will try to do it myself.
But be warned that I will cry for help if I can't figure it out.

Wonderful news, both on the possibility of help and the
workforce help!

Do you want to do the Deepfreeze thing this morning? Otherwise
I can do it Friday

        Hi, Holly-

Thanks for sending this. I talked to Cystal at Blanco and she
said that they have an hourly person who comes in once a week to
maintain their computers. She can also call him anytime if something
goes wrong. He is retired and mostly available.

Our Board meets Friday and I am going to ask if I can exchange
$200 in our collections budget for tech help. This will reduce our
collections budget to $500 but I think that I can make the most of it.

The Workforce Workstation (WkWK? or WWPC?) helped a fellow get
his unemployment figured out the other day.

                Karen --
Just so you know that you are not alone -- this is a big
discussion on the TLA automation list.

Our library does not have a permanent IT staff due to
budget restrictions. Two of us volunteer to take care of the computers
and system, but it has grown to a point of needing care and feeding
every day. We have our normal jobs and can only help by phone, after
hours if we are not on our job, or call in the professionals at a high
cost not budgeted. What options are out there for help to a staff that
is not computer literate to the point of understanding the system and
how to take care of it.
