One of our library foundation board members owns a storage facility in
town. He donated two units for us to store our used books, extra
shelving, fundraising materials and other things that are not used often
but we might need them later. When we accumulated our used books, we
will ask our maintenance workers to transfer them to the storage. I
know this does not really answer "the storage building on the library's
property" question but it can be another option to think about.

Subject: [ctls-l] Storage buildings?

Does your library have a storage building on the library's property?

Of what material is it constructed? How large is it? Is it adjacent to
the building or across the parking lot?

Is it secure? How does it lock?

One of our libraries has that common out-of-space problem, is looking
into a storage building, and wanted some feedback from other libraries.

Thanks.

Laurie
