Larry Flynt on MSNBC Cable

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

On News Chat, Dec. 21

MSNBCs John Gibson to Flynt: Are you doing the White House work for
them, Larry?
       Flynt: No.
Gibson: Do you have any direct contact. You said last week, Im,
the James Carville of publishing. It sounds as though youre carrying their
water for them.
Flynt: Thats what someone called me. Im not taking my marching
orders from the White House. I dont have any contact with the White House.
I just feel if those people on Capitol Hill are going to sit in judgement of
the president, they should not have any skeletons in their closet. That was
my only motivation.
Craig Shirley: ... Why are they only targeting Republicans, and does
this have the blessings of the White House?
Flynt: ... As far as the investigators that I have on the payroll,
if they know people in the White House, thats a very possibility, but I
have no contact with the White House.
Gibson: Do you employ Terry Lenzner and his investigative firm.
Flynt: Look, all I know is that we hired a firm in Washington that
is made up of former FBI and CIA operatives, that are assisting in the
investigation, and we have two of the most respected investigative
journalists in the business, but they would only take this assignment with a
deal of anonymity.
Gibson: Are you coming with more?
Flynt: Youd better believe it ... We got one fish thats even
bigger than Livingston. It could be as many as a dozen.
Theres one Republican member of the Senate, and we have one high
ranking member of the RNC, and the rest are members of Congress.
GOP consultant Craig Shirley: Who is the investigative firm?
Gibson: Can you tell me it is not Terry Lenzner, the PI firm that
has done the investigation for the White House and the presidents defense
team?
Flynt: Im not answering that question.
Craig Shirley: You can put that down as a yes, John.
Flynt: You cant put that down as a yes or a no, either one, its
just Im not going to answer it.
Gibson: Larry, do you understand how this looks? ... It now appears
that the president has given a wink and a nudge to Larry Flynt and said, Go
get him, and that Larry Flint is.
Flynt: No. Thats not true at all.
Gibson: But Larry, youre not even being very convincing in your
denial.
Flynt: Ive never met Clinton. Ive never been to the White House. I
have no contacts with the White House. They have no influence on this
investigation whatsoever. What more can I say? ... Im going to continue it
till Hell freezes over. Till somebody raises a white flag. ... People like
Livingston and Hyde are right-wing radical bullies are doing more to
threaten our form of Democracy than Clinton ever would.
Gibson: Larry, are you going after the media as well?
Flynt: (Laughs) We have been looking into the divorce records of
some members of the media, and Ill also ask, while youre on that question
John is, there were members of the
mainstream media that had some of the information that I had on
Livingston and they could have gone with the story and they did not, and
this happens time and time again, so why do they go after Clinton.
Gibson: He was being sued ... He was warned ... What is the point of
going after Republicans, because thats all they want him to do is admit
 it.
Flynt: How can he admit it if hes possibly facing criminal charges
down the line. It just doesnt make sense.
       Gibson: Why not Democrats?
Flynt: Only one Democrats name we got as a result of the ad that we
placed in the Washington Post. You know, the conventional wisdom in
Washington is that with Republicans, its money and with Democrats, its
sex. Really, its the complete opposite. ...
Gibson: Once again ... Are you using the White House private
investigation network, Jack Palladino, Terry Lenzner, those guys, who
investigated all of those women who brought charges against the president,
and are you doing this if not at the direct request, at least at the wink
and a nod, OK, approval of the White House?
Flynt: We take information wherever we can get it, but I assure you
that I have no relationship with the White House whatsoever on this matter.
Craig Shirley: Its almost Clintonian in the way he wont answer an
upfront question with a simple yes or no.
