Dennis Hastert has done precious little talking. The mild-mannered six-term conservative's low profile since his stunning rise to power two weeks ago presents a stark contrast to that of his loquacious predecessor, Rep. Newt Gingrich, who weighed in on virtually every issue and generated no shortage of controversies. Hastert ascends to the speakership this week, assuming a position behind only the vice president in line to the presidency. ``There are expectations that the speaker will be available, but it's certainly not codified anywhere that the speaker has to be,'' said Ross Baker, a Rutgers University expert on Congress. ``We would expect the speaker to be more vocal, particularly when the party does not have the White House, because there has to be somebody out there saying something just to brace up the morale of the opposition.'' In a brief meeting with reporters last week in Battavia, Ill., one of his few public appearances, Hastert scolded his House colleagues. ``To heal the wounds of Congress we need to get to work,'' Hastert said. ``We need to start to achieve things. And I think that's what will restore the American people's faith in Congress.'' Hastert has used what little time he has had concentrating on preparing the House for smooth operations. He has spoken with almost every GOP member, said Hastert's spokesman, Pete Jeffries. Jeffries said another reason his boss has avoided the spotlight is Hastert does not want to seem presumptuous. THE SON ALSO RISES >From the NEW YORK POST BILL'S 'S0N' RISES T0 THE TEST By MAGGIE HABERMAN A 13-year-old Arkansas boy whose mom claims he was fathered during a paid sex encounter with President Clinton has taken a DNA test to try to prove it, The Post has learned. Danny Williams - whose mother, Bobbie Ann, has claimed for years that she bedded Clinton and her son was the result - took the test after he signed on with Star magazine, a source told The Post. The tabloid obtained DNA samples from both Danny and Bobbie Ann "a few weeks ago," the source said. The Williams' test results aren't yet available, but "it should be fairly soon," said the source. White House spokesman Jim Kennedy refused to comment. The president has denied ever meeting Bobbie Ann. Cybergossip Matt Drudge, ( now has a news program on FOXNews. Fox News which is owned by the same man who owns the New York Post) Drudge is reporting the story on his Web site, quotes a source saying, "It's the stained dress all over again. We've been here before." The Williams' results will be compared with samples of Clinton's DNA, which "were previously obtained," Drudge said. It was unclear how the magazine obtained Clinton's DNA and whether it was a fresh specimen. Star editors refused to comment. Star investigative reporter Richard Gooding made the initial contact with the Williams family and has been "building the story for some time," Drudge reports. They claim they have traced President Clinton's father, William Jefferson Blythe to one of the black descendants of one of Jefferson's encounters with his slaves. M.I. stands for Military Industry. It has long been known on Wall Street that big business is afraid of Gore and his environmental policies. Most President's have gotten around this environmental fear by only concentrating their laws on the quality of air and pollution in the United States. This gave big business the excuse to move their plants outside of the country where they could exploit the local workforce. Unfortunately for Gore, Bill Clinton made Al Gore his environmental spokesman. Now Al Gore cannot be elected as President because big business will not allow it. They are afraid that he will effectively put in place all the environmental laws enacted by the United Nations, Rio Conference. If this happens, the world will instantly be put back into the dark ages because there will no longer be cars or electricity. This plan is now being implemented in selected United States towns. Forcing Clinton to agree to the $100,000,000,000 was not a way to keep Clinton in power, it was the way to insure that Al Gore will not be allowed to be President. One hundred billion dollars going to military buildup will put a lot of workers back to work in high paying jobs. The stock market will reshuffle, taking a lot of money out of small upstart companies, and put the money back into the Defense Industry. If you are invested in the market, start looking for defense stocks!! Wall Street will not allow a president who may destroy them to be elected. The people playing this deadly game are the most powerful people in the world. They have the ability to do anything, including destroy the world if they feel it will serve their purpose. The complete restructure or elimination of the Federal Reserve Bank. 2. This should be followed by the bankruptcy of many former Federal Reserve Banks 3. The return of the Cold War 4. The power of the United Nations will be substantially diminished. Already U.N. peace keeping planes are being shot down. Sovereign nations are beginning to fight the United Nation's plans for them. U.N. ambassadors have publicly stated that there are too many "little hot wars" going on. They have stated that it was much easier to control the world when there was a cold War going on. The Ambassadors know they are powerless to do anything. Many of them are expecting to be recalled by their governments who know that the United Nations has been defanged. Many treaties that countries have signed with the United Nations will be voided because they conflict with the Constitutions of sovereign nations. 5. A new way of raising taxes. Possibly eliminating the income tax for good. Possibly bringing back tariffs. 6. The emergence of a Fortress Europa, with a gold backed Euro which will make their money tied to a known commodity. Therefore the Euro will soon become the sought after form of exchange for world business. This will make the "floating"U.S. dollar, practically worthless. WHEN WILL CLINTON STEP DOWN? At what point President Clinton will resign is unknown at this time. The wheat has still not be separated from the Chaff. If President Clinton is removed too soon, it will not give us enough time to learn which of our Senators are "One Worlders" and which Senators are Americans who support the Constitution of the United States of America.
