STRIPED SLEEVES MEAN IMPEACHMENT IS MILITARY?

(CNNS, 01/15/99) -- Those are not just striped sleeves Chief
Judge William Rehnquist is wearing as he presides over the
impeachment trial of Bill Clinton. Those are GOLD-striped
sleeves.
An article in the New York Times (Electronic Edition) dated Jan.
15, 1999, describes Judge Rehnquist specifically as "resplendent
in his black gown with four gold stripes on each sleeve."
A commentary in the New York Post, by Steve Dunleavy, also sees
gold, but Dunleavy describes "three gold stripes on his robe."

There is disagreement between the NYTimes and NYPost as to
whether there are 3 or 4 stripes, but both agree that those are
gold stripes Judge Rehnquist is wearing.
Why the sudden new fashion in judicial wear? Rehnquist
reportedly says he copied the gold-striped style "after seeing a
Gilbert and Sullivan operetta." [Dunleavy. Op. cit.]
Is Judge Rehnquist's explanation believable? That a scholarly
jurist, the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, approaches
the somber and serious business of presiding over the impeachment
trial of a U.S. President with such a flippant attitude? One of
the most serious proceedings, if not THE most serious proceeding,
over which Rehnquist is ever to preside, and he is so humorous,
light-hearted and cavalier that he copies his style of robe from
a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta?
CNNS does not believe Rehnquist's explanation as to why he is
suddenly wearing gold-stripes on his judicial robe.
And since Rehnquist's Gilbert & Sullivan story is implausible and
therefore a cover story, and hides whatever the REAL reason is
for the sudden change in judicial wardrobe, then what is it that
Rehnquist's cover story is meant to hide?
-+- A Rosetta Stone -+-
Rehnquist's gold stripes are a Rosetta Stone, unlocking many
mysteries.
If Rehnquist is wearing 4 gold stripes on each sleeve, then
according to "Ru Mills" (pseudonym) those 4 gold stripes are
equivalent to the rank of Full Admiral in the U.S. Navy.
A researcher has published to a conspiracy research mailing list
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) what he has uncovered as to the possible
significance of Rehnquist's gold striped-sleeves. He writes, in
part, that....
There has been some discussion among law researchers that
indicates that the gold fringe on the US flag indicates
martial law rule. If you recall the old westerns when the
US cavalry showed up they all had gold braids on the
trumpet, flag, and on the shoulders. We know for certain
that they were under martial law, for the federal
government was governing the territories directly previous
to them entering as states.
-+- The Military Connection -+-
In Edward Gibbon's great book, "The Decline and Fall of the Roman
Empire," the author repeatedly describes how, with the accession
of each new Roman Emperor, a pre-requisite was, often, approval
by the military. Following the death of Constantine, for
example, "a loud and unanimous declaration was procured from the
troops that they would suffer none except the sons of their
lamented monarch to reign over the Roman empire." Military
support was crucial; without it, the Caesars could not rule. As
the Roman Empire decayed over the centuries, military support
became increasingly necessary and support from the Roman senate
was no longer very important.
Over several years, Sherman Skolnick, chairman of the
Chicago-based public interest research group, Citizens' Committee
To Clean Up The Courts, has reported on attempts by U.S. military
brass to arrest their Commander-in-Chief, Bill Clinton, under
provisions of the U.S. Military Code of Justice. Does
Rehnquist's gold striped-sleeve robe suggest that something like
a military arrest or military trial has occurred or is occurring?
Or is the new-style judicial robe merely a symbolic message from
the military, warning Clinton of their power?
Contacted by CNNS, Mr. Skolnick further noted that the
striped-sleeve style of judicial robe was *de rigueur* in Nazi
Germany.
-+- The Intelligence Connection -+-
Heading the team of prosecutors conducting the impeachment trial
is Congressman Henry Hyde. Mr. Skolnick has repeatedly reported
that Hyde oversees the CIA "Black Budget," highly-classified
accounts of how CIA spends its money. Hyde also, according to
Skolnick, is a retired Naval Reserve Commander. So with Chief
Prosecutor Hyde, we have another murky figure participating in
the developing drama.
In past reports, Ru Mills has emphasized two factions in the
intelligence "community": Faction 1 and Faction 2. Faction 1,
reportedly, is internationalist and pro-New World Order. Faction
2, reportedly, is nationalist and anti-New World Order. Faction
1 has backed Bill Clinton. Faction 2 is anti-Clinton.
In a report dated Dec. 31, 1998, Mills wrote that a key source,
connected with Faction 2 and one she had not heard from for quite
some time, had suddenly contacted her and relayed startling news.
Although Mills' source gave his information with the caveat that
"anything can happen," he seemed extremely confident that Faction
2 had just won a major victory against Faction 1. ["RMNews

If Faction 2 has indeed triumphed over Faction 1, this would
explain any evaporation of Bill Clinton's strong-armed base of
support.
-+- The Israeli Connection -+-
The deeper levels of Bill Clinton's current troubles are hard to
fathom. That he is in trouble is unquestionable. Another angle
on the undercover source of the president's woes lies in the
ongoing Netanyahu/Clinton feud.
Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister, is nationalist, and
is part of the right wing in Israel's politics. Bill Clinton is
internationalist, and is identified with what passes for the
"left" in U.S. politics. When the Monica Lewinsky scandal first
erupted in January of 1998, that eruption reportedly occurred
shortly after Bill Clinton had "dissed" Netanyahu by delaying a
scheduled meeting. Netanyahu had been forced to wait, and wait,
until Clinton at last deigned to see him.
Speculation exists that Monica Lewinsky was used as part of an
Israeli "sting" operation against Clinton, possibly as revenge by
Netanyahu.
Recently, information has surfaced describing how Clintonista
spinmeisters James Carville, Stan Greenberg, and Robert Shrum
have been meddling in Israeli politics, seeking to unseat their
enemy Netanyahu in Israel's upcoming election. ["Bibi Battered

In an apparent counter-move, unknown operatives burgled the
offices, in Washington, DC, of above-mentioned Democratic
pollster Stan Greenberg. Stolen were a specific set of files
dealing with the upcoming Israeli election. No other files were
stolen. "Several [Israeli] Labor legislators immediately pointed
to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud as the guilty
party." [Reuters, 1/13/99. "Washington Break-In Hits Israeli
Election Campaign."]
Does Israeli intelligence, the Mossad, have its own Faction 1 and
Faction 2? How does pressure for release of convicted spy
Jonathan Pollard fit into all of this? If Pollard is released to
Israel next week, that will help Netanyahu's chances to be
retained as Israeli Prime Minister. All these undercover plots
and counter-plots could be reflected, on a superficial level, in
Bill Clinton's trial for perjury and obstruction of justice.
-+- The Systematics/Foster/Israel Connection -+-
Another factor in the puzzle is the late Vince Foster. Foster,
according to a classic series of articles by J. Orlin Grabbe, a
former professor at the prestigious Wharton College, may have
transferred top-secret missile launch codes to Israel.

Foster's later "suicide" is as puzzling in circumstance as is
Rehnquist's Gilbert & Sullivan judicial wardrobe. Despite THREE
(count 'em, THREE) official investigations into Foster's
"suicide" (methinks thou dost investigate too much), all THREE of
which concluded that Foster died by his own hand, many Americans
remain unconvinced.
Though many say Foster was murdered, the proper word to describe
Foster's death is EXECUTED. Foster, linked by several reports to
an alleged National Security Agency (NSA) operation,
"Systematics," and its successor, Alltel, was a high-ranking NSA
official. According to Sherman Skolnick, Foster held a rank in
NSA equivalent to a General in the military. If Foster had
committed treason by giving classified information to a foreign
power, he may have been tried and found guilty by a "Star
Chamber" type of secret court. "Treason is still punishable by
death," notes Ru Mills' source.
Another murky circumstance is the recent death, again by supposed
"suicide," of Alltel vice president and board member Charles
Wilbourne Miller, on Nov. 17, 1998. ["Another Very Suspicious

-+- Further National Security Concerns -+-
According to a report from Newsmax, journalist Christopher
Ruddy's web site, further national security concerns are being
raised as to Bill Clinton's stated knowledge that White House
phones likely were "bugged" by foreign spies. "Clinton
recognized in a telephone conversation with [Monica Lewinsky]
that foreign intelligence organizations could, without much
trouble, be listening in on their phone sex and other musings,
according to Lewinskys detailed and unchallenged testimony."

Did Clinton do anything to thwart the perceived spying, other
than to "propose an absurd cover story to Monica?" [Hoagland.
Op. cit.]
Yet another factor discernable as lurking beneath the surface of
what may be a show trial, the impeachment proceedings, is the
treason implicit in the Clinton/Red China connection. Ru Mills'
already cited source relayed to her that
The report of the sale of U.S. technology to China has done
it all. It will unravel the treason of the Bush and
Clinton administrations. People forget the Bush family are
the biggest investors in China. Don't think this transfer
of technology started with Clinton. It started with Bush.

-+- A Coup d'Etat? -+-
Even left-leaning, mainstream journalists have voiced opinions
that the current impeachment trial of Bill Clinton is a sham, and
that a conspiracy lurks beneath the surface. But those
journalists do not look deeply enough when they call it a
"Republican coup" against the president. The strings of this
trial are being pulled by persons a lot more hidden than "rabid
Republicans."
The removal from office of Bill Clinton is apparently justified.
But secret machinations controlling the U.S. presidency are an
affront to the ideal of democracy. The public, poorly informed
and denied their Right To Know, do not even know that they do not
know. They think instead that the facts involved in the present
impeachment charade are all out in the open, and give their
opinions on the matter based upon imperfect knowledge. This news
service also "does not know" -- but at least, in the case of
CNNS, we know that we do not know.
