SEER FORESEES SERIOUS SIGHTS

(CNNS, 01/19/99) -- The seer assembly line continues to churn out
prophecies of various types. This news service is reluctant to
pass along the latest mumbo-jumbo, this time from Gordon-Michael
Scallion; on the other hand, by documenting the latest from the
current crop of seers their predictions can later be evaluated.
Today, the reigning Rasputin, Gordon-Michael Scallion, appeared
on the Roseanne show, on the NBC network. CNNS took notes and
will, for historical purposes, relay Scallion's predictions
below. This is done in the hope that any fake seers in the
assembly line of seers can be more easily dethroned, by showing
how they are frequently wrong.
A note on the Roseanne show: she seems like a nice lady, but is
caught up in the Hollywood mileau. Roseanne says she's been
studying the Kabbala, which is the latest fashion in Tinsel Town.
Roseanne alluded to her hope that the women are taking over. Not
known is what portion of her viewership is women, but presumably
that viewership is primarily members of the fair sex. Mr.
America: while you are out there busting your ass, your wife is
being propagandized by afternoon talk shows.
Roseanne's show had footnotes on various Scallion predictions
later proven correct but did not have mention of Scallion misses.
In a past issue of Conspiracy Nation [CN 12.20], released during
the summer of 1998, we recorded Scallion's then-predictions, for
example the following gem:
** "I'm quite certain we're going to see major, MAJOR
quakes -- greater than 7.0 -- in the United States this
summer [1998.]" -- Gordon-Michael Scallion: w-r-o-n-g.
Today, Scallion prognosticated as follows:
** Scallion's "Future Map Of The United States" was shown. He
predicts there will be "earth changes," and that western and
eastern portions of the U.S. will be submerged. Previously,
Scallion's map had a time frame of 1998-2001 for the earth
changes. Now, that time frame has been expanded to 1998-2012.
Is business booming for Mr. Scallion? "Profits of doom?"
** The United Kingdom, France, Holland, and northern Europe will
be submerged, predicts Scallion. It's not known whether this
includes Finland.
** We think of earthquakes of magnitude 8 or so; "start thinking
of quakes of magnitude 10, 12, or 15," says the Cagliostro of
Catastrophe.
** "We haven't been able to get together collectively, to solve
[environmental problems] so nature is going to take over and will
do it for us [i.e. solve environmental problems.]" An increase in
"erratic weather" is predicted. The year 1999, says Scallion,
will be an "8" on a 1-to-10 scale of weather severity.
** On the Y2K problem, Scallion says it's a real problem but not
too major in the First World. On a scale of 1-to-10, he rates it
a "3" in severity. The Third World, however, will be much more
affected by Y2K, according to the balding, goateed guide to the
future.
** The economy will accelerate in 1999, he says, but at some
point there will be a "major correction," on the level of the
1929 stock market crash.
** Pope John Paul II will die this year, foresees the far-sighted
futurist, and he will basically be the last Pope. The next Pope
will be "olive skinned," probably an Italian, but will rule as
part of a tribunal.
** By about the year 2002, we will be able to look back and
distinguish that 1999 was the tenuous beginning of World War III.
This world war, says Scallion, will be a European war and will
not spread to the United States. It will begin with Turkey,
Yugoslavia, and Italy and will be "basically a religious war, an
attempt for global domination." At least one of the religions
involved will be a new religion, unknown or unperceived at
present. In the purportedly imminent World War III, both
biological and nuclear weapons will be used.
** According to Scallion, the current impeachment trial of Bill
Clinton is the start of a major phase of change in the U.S.
political structure. We are, says the Nineties Nostradamus,
going back to "13 colonies," which implies a major
de-centralization of government.
** We are going to turn blue, to an extent, but this will not
homogenize the races; rather, the races will have blue tints.
Our DNA is about to be significantly altered and we will take a
"quantum leap" as a species. Our dreams will become more lucid
and Scallion urges we pay more attention to our dreams.
Sherman Skolnick, chairman of the public interest research group,
Citizens' Committee To Clean Up The Courts, has many files in his
office. One file is named by him, "Profits of Doom." Skolnick
purposely mis-spells "prophets" as "profits" -- it's his little
joke. It is likely that Mr. Scallion and other current stars of
the prophecy circuit can be filed away, under "Profits of Doom."
Time will tell.
