Today on " This Week " with Sam & Cokie, Senator Robert Torrecelli
the Chairman of the DemocRATic Senate Campaign Committee admitted
that the fix is in on the senate's impeachment trial of President
William J. Clinton. " We know the outcome," said Torrecelli.
The Senate, a millionaire's club of corrupt petty Kings and Queens,
is doing it's duty. Protect the status quo of the ruling elite.
They did the same during the Iran Contra hearings. They ALL agreed
from the beginning of that sham too, that Ronald Reagan would not
be impeached and steered the hearings away from all evidence that
led to Reagan.
The Senate is the most undemocratic institution designed by the
undemocratic framers of an undemocratic Constitution. EVERYTHING
IS WORKING THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED TO WORK. The Constitution sucks.
The only hope of evicting the First Criminal is if the " managers "
can force witnesses into the senate trial against the Senate's wishes.
I hope they succeed.
Today's word boys and girls is B-I-P-A-R-T-I-S-A-N. Can you say
bipartisan? All the Senators on the talk shows sure can.
" BI - PARTISAN EFFORT ":
A) Where both parties have a say, so as to achieve a balanced
outcome.
B) Where both parties put aside their considerable differences on
matters of high importance, for the benefit of the nation.
C) Where one or the other party grudgingly concedes its high moral
stance on the issue at hand for the greater good of us all.
BUT REALLY MEANS -- Where both parties put aside their superficial
differences in order to carry out an important directive from their
corporate masters. Usually to the detriment of the general population,
and often to the detriment of the country.
EXAMPLES:
A) Congressional efforts to reduce the deficit. But not the debt,
which is owned by the rich.
B) The apples of our eye. The six ( then ) living Presidents coming
together to speak for the benefits of NAFTA.
C) All the living Secretaries of State gathering to push GATT.
D) Establishing Most Favored Nation status for China.
E) Bailing out stupid and/or corrupt failing capitalist institutions.
F) Going to war. Any war.
The controversial votes in Congress are usually won by very narrow
margins so as to allow as many representatives as possible off the
hook if they know their constituencies won't re-elect them because
of their bipartisan stand.
So the next time you here a news person talk about anything " Bi-
Partisan, a little bell should ring in your brain and be warned.
You know what you are about to get. DON'T BEND OVER!
