-Caveat Lector-
>I have suspected this for a long time. When you see a roster of the
rich and famous on the boards of the most prominent global "Green"
organizations internationally, you have to at least muster some good,
healthy suspicions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For that matter, every time we see George Bush wearing an Armani suit,
we should be suspicious of the global ambitions of apparel
manufacturers. Sweatshops are a genuine problem, internationally, but
the fact that George Bush wears one has very little to do with it.
I would suggest that we are all a little sick of millenial
apocalyptomania. It is unfortunate that environmental issues have been
lumped in with the hype. I can guarantee you that after we all wake up
on January 1st, 2001, and the world has gone on, that these issues will
not disappear.
