I can't comment on Oakdale, VAFB or SAD; but I *can* say that,
based on my observations within the past year, no renovations
are apparent at Manzanar or Tulelake, and the locals don't talk
of any large-scale movements/activities; and Ft. Irwin is *far*
from inactive, being one of *the* major wargame sites in the
western states. Irwin also contains the NASA/JPL Deep Space
Network monitoring station at Goldstone, a massive array of
huge radiotelescope dishes for communicating with spacecraft.
I was at Goldstone for an event a couple years back, and I
observed LOTS of military activity at Irwin; from being used
just for NG/reserves summercamp training a couple decades ago,
it's been ramped-up to a major automated-battlefield training
[wargame] base. Is there a concentration camp at Irwin, or
just an oversized brig, or some other detention facility? I
dunno, but given the amount of activity there, it'd be rather
hard to hide *anything* above-ground. Underground -- well,
that's another matter, now isn't it?
