CLINTON IN DANGER

(CNNS, 02/08/99) -- An article prominently featured this morning
at Matt Drudge's web site is headlined, "Fear of Iraqi revenge
mission against Clinton and Blair." ("Security alert for Hussein
funeral," By Christopher Walker in Amman.) The report states, in
part: "Western experts fear that President Clinton and Tony
Blair, the instigators of last December's Operation Desert Fox,
could be targets for hit squads from the thousands of [Iraqi]
agents inside the kingdom [of Jordan.]"
It is not known whether these fears will bear fruit. But due to
mass hysteria sure to follow any tragic assassination of Bill
Clinton, with such hysteria likely to be aimed partly in the
direction of Conspiracy Nation, this news service may be able to
preempt howling, gibbering sports fans from marching in this
direction should "Iraqi agents" murder Bill Clinton.
This news service well remembers the last time the howling,
gibbering sports fans turned off their televisions, jumped from
their sofas, and turned their collective mindset toward a new
hysteria: their "outrage" over the Oklahoma City bombings of
April 19, 1995. Many volunteer news services suffered from mob
outrage following the bombings in Oklahoma City. John DiNardo, a
fearless advocate for the Truth, was suddenly yanked off the
Internet when he published a report showing, by seismographic
evidence, that more than one bomb destroyed the Murrah Building
in Oklahoma City. Jim Reis, a colleague of Sherman Skolnick, was
forced to leave his post as co-host, with Skolnick, on the cable
television show "Broadsides," due to fears of hysterical attacks.
"Forget it, Skolnick. Hitler is on the march," Reis reportedly
said when he left the show. Following the OKC bombings, this
editor endured wild, hysterical e-mails, full of insane
statements.
As insurance, while mindless idiots are yet passively enjoying
EndlessSports, CNNS is getting the jump on their possible future
howlings. For that reason, in the calm before a possible storm,
this report is issued.
-+- Some Strange Things -+-
A memo from CNNS source "Slim Bacall" (pseudonym) stated that a
source with deep connections had once told her that Jackie
Kennedy Onnasis had been given "CIA cancer" for some reason.
Slim Bacall wondered, in this context, at the cancer contracted
by Jordan's King Hussein.
This editor wondered at the sudden flip of King Hussein, from
alive to dead. One day he was waving to crowds in Jordan. The
next day, he was on life support and soon thereafter died. A
remarkably swift downturn, it seemed.
Bill Clinton, according to mainstream pundits, will not be
removed from office via impeachment. That remains to be seen.
But if the pundits are correct, then forces hostile to Clinton
might try more violent means to remove him from office.
Any assassination of a U.S. president which occurred on U.S. soil
would not be accepted as less than a deep conspiracy by most
Americans. Too many U.S. citizens know enough about the John F.
Kennedy assassination to be fooled a second time. But an
assassination by "crazed Iraqi terrorists" and not on U.S. soil
would pass the believability test of most Americans.
All this remains to be seen, of course. But several indicators
-- Drudge's headlining of security concerns, the apparent failure
of the "coup d'etat impeachment trial," the odd quickness of King
Hussein's death -- are enough to merit this report.
