I agree that there may have been other stuff, especially with Bush.
However, I just don't know that Reagan clearly demonstrated
incompetence. But then I was not around him at the time.

I am actually not so sure that Reagan is as demented as many would
believe. The last speech he gave before the Republican Convention looked
to me like there was a plan to keep him from saying all that he had to
say. His speech kept getting interrupted at inappropriate and long
times. Maybe that is just the nature of conventions, but I remember
thinking that maybe there were some who wanted him silenced.
"Alzheimer's" would certainly be one way.

I agree with you on this to some degree, but think that it was more a
case of both working together.
