 To IRE reporters and editors:

The recent clarification by Sunny Lewis of the Environment News
Service regarding my website post "Hospitals Jammed" is accurate.

I apologize for the spelling and location errors in my copy. More
importantly, while an Aqua Tech subsidiary cannot confirm the test mentioned
in my article, which must remain confidental in any case, I do have
independent verification of JP8/ethylene-dibromide samplings. I stand behind
EDB as one component of the "spray". New leads suggest that the spray being
reported over 41 states may also have a bacterial component from deliberate
or accidental fuel-tank contamination. I am seeking further independent
confirmation of two separate "positive" lab reports already in hand before
reporting this latest development. [See Channel 4 TV's recent report from
Spokane, Washington for more on bacterial contamination.]

Please see my repost later this weekend for corrections and updates.

In posting the original story on my personal website, I struck ENS
from the copyright. I should also have removed all mention of ENS from the
copy. Editor Sunny Lewis and I have collaborated on many important stories,
and it was not my intention to involve ENS in reportage not checked and
 approved by her.

I apologize for any confusion that has resulted from including ENS
in my copy, and I emphasize once again that the Environment News Service did
not approve and was not involved in my latest "contrails" story. It is a big
story. It is important. And I hope that reporters everywhere will take a
hard look at what is happening in the skies over America.

 Sincerely,
 William Thomas
