-Caveat Lector- I heard from my mother that my childhood neighbors children's children ran away to join a cult that moved to Mexico to live in caves and live off the land including eating wild animals, etc., and there was a big hunt for the missing children. After a while the children got tired of eating wild game and living in caves waiting for the end of civilization and decided to come back to America and live with their parents. The parents did not give them any punishments because they were punished enough. The cult leaders will face charges if they return to the US. I think they are glad to continue to live in caves in Mexico. My other childhood next door neighbor also lives in Mexico, but for a different reason.
