I promised I would re-look at the original Jana "Grimm" post (included
below) to see if further amends were necessary. On reading it carefully, I
see that my skim wasn't that bad of a read. Jana overgeneralizes, demonizes
and dehumanizes, while making a few valid points if one can read between
the lines and take out all the rancor and hate invective. My point was that
Joshua2 tended to do the same thing in his rebuke of Jana, although
admittedly on a more individualized level. I beleive both are unnecessary
and wrong -- and I was calling Joshue2 on the double standard which comes
into play for those defending things Jewish and against those criticizing.
While I would not rule it out as a possibility, I have no proof Grimm's
Fairy Tales in whole or in part refers to the history of tension between
the German people and the Jewish people.
Incidentally, with regard to Joshua2"s comment that "people believe what
they want to believe" --- that is a bit of a show stopper as who can defend
