Everything there is tilted towards keeping the myths going - nothing is ever conclusive and everything is always kept open - this attitude is highly sacrosanct there - historical criticism as such does not exist except perhaps by those members who debunk certain historical claims made by Pierre Plantard only because they believe that they have something better to offer esoteric-wise than he did (eg, the 'MemoryMap' pair of Timothy Carmain and Robin Crookshank Hilton - the latter uses the alias of "Stella Maris" and has appropriated the Marian symbol of St Sulpice of Paris as her own device - they operate a 'MemoryMap' List that is a type of an 'inner-circle' of the 'Priory of Sion Mailing List', its membership being restricted to 20 people and by invitation only).

The message below by Robin Crookshank Hilton on the
Phenomenamagazine MessageBoard proves that she is
superimposing her subjective esoteric theories over
the material found in the Priory Documents. She is
trying to create a New Age version of the Priory of
Sion and it is not convincing - simply because all the
'esoteric' symbolism found in the Priory Documents
merely served as occult decoration promoting Pierre
Plantard's claims in being the direct descendant of
Merovingian King Dagobert II - that's what the Priory
of Sion was all about.
Pierre Plantard wanted to become the King of France
and also wanted to form a United States of Europe.
Plantard was of course merely descended from a 16th
century peasant who picked walnuts and everything that
was claimed in the Priory Documents was both a
compedium of fantasies and a pack of lies.
But Robin Crookshank Hilton does not really know what
she is looking for, she has not defined any form of
knowledge - she is only LOOKING but not FINDING.
Interesting how Robin Crookshank Hilton calls herself
by her real name everywhere on the Internet except on
the PoSML. Likewise, Alice Westergren Kell calls
herself by her real name everywhere on the Internet
except on the PoSML; like, for example, on the
Fairleigh Dickinson University (New Jersey) website:

I echo the sentiments of the others, I loved your
website, Mike. I was especially intrigued by your
theory that the "blue apples", which appear every year
as a result of the gnomonic effect of the window that
Sauniere commissioned, might actually represent the
layout of the constellation Draco.
A lot of the Priory of Sion's "clues" are based around
the template of pole stars and zodiacal asterisms, so
you may well be onto something, as Thuban was once a
pole star itself.
I hate to sound like I keep plugging my article in the
current issue of Phenomena, but you really might want
to see if you can track down the mag and so that you
can read it. It explains a lot about how the PoS
fabricated their clues and codes from material which I
gathered from members of the PoS itself and an
analysis of diagrams included in the Dossiers Secrets,
along with access to unpublished manuscripts by
Plantard's sidekick, Philippe de Cherisey.
It's pretty much accepted fact these days that the
Priory of Sion's inception was only in 1956, but they
employ a lot of older esoteric techniques in the
embroidering of hermetic "clues" into the actual
history of places like Rennes-le-Chateau and Gisors,
which are fascinating to unravel.
