Nevadans may well have nothing to worry about if the Atomic Energy
Commission (AEC) of Canada and our ever obsequious federal government get
their way. AEC and the feds apparently see the disposal of weapons grade
plutonium from the US and Russia as an oppurtunity to make money and
provide jobs! The Canadian government was going to "officially" inform the
port of Halifax and province of Nova Scotia about the shipment of the
waste to this province but, oddly enough, cancelled the meeting when the
public and environmentalists caught wind of it. I guess this is Canada's
share of the "peace dividend" promised after the cessation of the Cold
War. Thanks Uncle Sam and kudos to the Russian Bear! ;)
