They have some important information to share with you regarding the outright liberal bias by Dan Rather and CBS News. Please join them in taking action! Thank you. NewsMax.com Help Us EXPOSE Dan Rather's Bias to America! Dear Conservative Friend, Last week, we told our members how Dan Rather and CBS News have been caught red-handed in their blatant bias against President Bush, by airing a story based on forged documents. We set up our site so Americans could contact CBS and demand accountability from the media -- and over EIGHTY THOUSAND emails were sent to CBS President Les Moonves and CBS News itself! WAY TO GO! NOW is the time to turn up the heat. You're on the cutting edge, because you bypass the liberal mainstream media to get the REAL news. But what about the rest of America -- "Joe and Jane Sixpack" living in the heartland, using the 'net only for e-mail, where all they know is what they see on the news and read in the paper? Don't THEY deserve to know the truth about Dan Rather and CBS News? And don't THEY deserve the chance to take action, demanding to know the TRUTH about the bias of Dan Rather, and the lies of CBS News? NOW they can have that chance! Just like we've done several times before, we're planning to take out *another* FULL-PAGE ad in USA Today, NATIONWIDE -- telling the whole country about Dan Rather's liberal, anti-Bush bias, and telling them to DEMAND that CBS News come clean and FIRE him! But to get that ad published nationwide, we need YOUR help now: Go Here Now: http://cl.extm.us/?fe891d777367007475-fe3711707667007d731671 As you know, Dan Rather and CBS News used documents (now proven to be forgeries) during a Sept. 8 "60 Minutes II" segment in an incompetent attempt to smear President George W. Bush's National Guard service. Clearly phony, these "new" documents were easily debunked overnight by solid evidence from forensic document experts, typographers and retired military officers. One expert counts at least 50 points that suggest the documents are forgeries. For America's sake, such lopsided, incompetent, unprofessional, anything-goes "reporting" must be stopped! Americans nationwide need to demand accountability from CBS and other networks. The full-page ads will direct right-thinking Americans to RightMarch.com, where we've made it easy for them to tell CBS to shelve its one-sided alibis! There, they will contact CBS CEO Leslie Moonves to: * Demand the network make full on-air disclosure of all facts, sources and experts to accurately report both sides of the story; * Order CBS producer Mary Mapes, who allegedly obtained the documents, to tell the truth and reveal their source instead of refusing to comment; * Challenge the network to admit the documents are forged; * Demand CBS air a FULL retraction and apology; * And call for anchor Dan Rather to be FIRED if his bias against President Bush led to the hasty airing of the story based on forged documents. We need your help to get this full-page ad out NOW. After blaring huge headlines last week, much of the liberal press went silent Monday as evidence mounted. Don't let the network wiggle off the hook! Help make these ads possible: Go Here Now: http://cl.extm.us/?fe881d777367007474-fe3711707667007d731671 Obviously CBS News did not check the facts, and America has to ask... WHY? Was it due to Rather's readily apparent anti-Bush bias that he pushed to air the groundless smear? Was the intent to counter President Bush's jump in the polls? And why won't the network not take an even-handed, in-depth look at the mounting evidence of fraud? Glaring omissions marred Rather's weak attempt at a "rebuttal" last Friday, including a pre-show warning by the son of Lt. Colonel Jerry Killian, President Bush's superior officer at the Texas Air Guard, that the documents might be forgeries. CBS News failed to mention that warning during the segment or in subsequent updates. To smear the President, Rather is backing a detractor at the exclusion of first-hand experience and expertise offered by many. According to Newsweek, the documents' source is Bill Burkett, a disgruntled former National Guard officer who suffered two nervous breakdowns and unsuccessfully sued for medical expenses. No wonder the network staunchly refuses to admit his name! Retired Maj. General Hodges, Killian's supervisor, believes the documents are frauds, and Rufus Martin, the personnel chief in Killian's unit at the time, went on record as saying "they looked to me like forgeries... I don't think Killian would do that, and I knew him for 17 years." But the network overlooked both Hodges AND Martin. Bill Flynn, one of the country's top authorities on document authentication, stated: "These documents do not appear to have been the result of technology that was available in 1972 and 1973," especially with the Alabama Air National Guard. "The cumulative evidence that's available," he further said, "indicates that these documents were produced on a computer, not a typewriter" -- facts not mentioned during the segment, or since. Rather's rebuttal featured one "expert" at length without including any of the many experts who disagreed. The list goes on and on. We MUST get the word out to average, ordinary, hard-working patriotic Americans! PLEASE help us publish our nationwide full-page ads NOW: Go Here Now: http://cl.extm.us/?fe871d777367007477-fe3711707667007d731671 Sandra Ramsey Lines also put her reputation as an expert document examiner on the line by saying: "I'm virtually certain these were computer generated." Lines, a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, said the memos looked like they had been produced on a computer using Microsoft Word software, pointing to a superscript -- a smaller, raised "th" in "111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron" -- as evidence indicating forgery. Rather's rebuttal dismissed this evidence by saying such subscripts were available then -- in RARE locations, at GREAT cost. But he failed to mention the Alabama Air National Guard did not have that capability at that time. Rather also didn't mention all four documents were in a proportionally spaced typeface not available in 1972 -- because only typewriters, not printers, were used, especially in the military. Typewriters used mono-spaced fonts and couldn't have produced the "signed" memos. But Rather refused to let historical fact ruin his story. Killian's widow, Marjorie Connell, insists "the wording in these documents is very suspect to me... I just can't believe these are his words." "Sick" and "angry" that her late husband's name is "being battled back and forth on television," Connell added, "I know for a fact that this young man (George W. Bush)... was an excellent aviator, an excellent person to be in the Guard, and he (Killian) was very happy to have him become a member of the 111th." Yet Rather didn't listen, instead twisting a dead soldier's reputation. This is enough to make anyone FURIOUS. At BEST, Rather and the CBS News staff are guilty of gross incompetence by allowing their desire to smear the President outweigh their professional duty to properly check the facts. At WORST, CBS News may be guilty of deliberately reporting what they knew to be false, and engaging in libel and slander against the President of the United States during a time of war. We need to EXPOSE Dan Rather's glaring -- and deliberately biased -- "mistake," and strike a major blow against the mainstream liberal media! Don't let this chance get away. We need your help NOW to reign in CBS and fight back against these who betray the public's trust in order to sway America with outright lies! WILL YOU HELP US? Our members have come through before, when we've raised enough money for nationwide full-page USA Today ads defending the President, opposing radical left-wing groups like MoveOn.org, and even printing Sen. Zell Miller's outstanding speech. It's not cheap -- the rate for this ad is over $90,000. And we can't afford to make this statement to the whole country without YOUR help TODAY! TAKE ACTION: If every one of our members gave just $30 or $50, we could put that national full-page ad up *this week*. But we know that many of our patriotic members just can't afford to give that much -- so some of you might be able to give more to make up for them, maybe as much as $100, $500, or even $1,000 or $2,000. We've even had some members step up to the plate and donate $5,000. And we've had other members write to us, and tell us they're donating the only $10 they can spare. Believe us -- we appreciate it ALL. But whatever you can give, we'll make YOUR stand for the TRUTH known right there -- in black and white -- in a full-page ad, distributed nationwide in USA TODAY. From New York to California... Florida to Washington... the nation's capital to every single state capital... Americans everywhere will finally see the FACTS about the liberal media's bias -- and they'll finally be able to do something about it. We're a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, so your contribution is NOT tax-deductible. But we promise this: every dollar that comes in to RightMarch.com for this project will be SPENT on this project. If we don't get enough to pay for a full page nationwide, we'll buy a half page, or a fourth page, or a full page in a single region... whatever we can afford with what you give. And if USA Today were to reject our ad (they DID accept our last three full-page ads), we'll make SURE it still gets out there in newspapers distributed across the country. Take a look at the latest draft of our ad here. Help us take the next shots in our "battle strategy" to counter the liberal media and the Socialist-led "blame-America" crowd. Go to our site to help us pay for a FULL PAGE nationwide ad in USA Today. NOTE: We don't want anyone to be left out -- if you can't afford to give ANYTHING right now, go to http://cl.extm.us/?fe861d777367007476-fe3711707667007d731671 to send a message (at no charge) to CBS CEO & President Les Moonves (with a copy to CBS News), demanding they tell the TRUTH for a change. Be sure to forward this e-mail to everyone you know who's sick of seeing the leftist mainstream media attacking President Bush with unfounded -- even forged -- allegations, simply in order to defeat him in the election.
