This is not the original link, but earlier this week the New York Daily News had an interesting interview with Robert Shaler. If you don't recognize his name, he was the chief forensic pathologist in New York City whose job was identifying the remains of the victims of 9/11/01. This isn't some conspiracy nut or looney. He just published a book about identifying the 9/11 victims and that's why the New York Daily News interviewed him. Here's the interesting part: In "Who They Were," his new inside account of the identification effort, Shaler writes that he believes the terrorists identified were in the back of the planes - and not the monsters who plowed the jets into the towers.
"I still doubt the pilots have anything remaining to collect or analyze," he writes. "Likely, they were vaporized along with many of the innocent victims."
Though the remains of 1,594 of the 2,749 WTC victims have so far been identified by name, Shaler makes clear the terrorists were a case apart.
To begin with, Shaler's office could not identify the three by name. That's because the 10 DNA profiles used to make the first matches were supplied by the FBI without names attached.
"No names, just a K code, which is how the FBI designates 'knowns,' or specimens it knows the origins of," Shaler wrote. "Of course, we had no direct knowledge of how the FBI obtained the terrorists' DNA." Holy cow! So how on earth did the FBI get "known" DNA samples of the terrorists of 9/11 before 9/11? How did they get samples with which to compare to those that Shaler's team were working on? Obviously this is just one more block in the stunning mountain of evidence that something screwy happened on 9/11. Or at least that the full truth hasn't been told.
