Dear Suzan,
Once you weened yourself off the baby bottle, I'd be pleased
to discuss any Bible-related topic of your choosing. Meanwhile,
your continued inane attempts at diverting the focus of these
discussions to nonessential foolishness is merely unproductive,
and just goes to show that you're not interested in engaging
in substantive dialogue: falling back on your usual ad hominem
for lack of anything worthwhile to contribute to any of these
ongoing discussions. Your just trolling for billygoats, Suzan.

Note that the scrolls of Deuteronomy(second Law), Torah's "lost
book" were discovered in 622 BC by king Josiah's high priest Hilkiah,
and Deuteronomy became the first Hebrew manuscript to be canonized
[ref. 2Ki 22:8ff; 23:1-3], with copies of Moses' earlier scrolls
of The Law canonized together and included therewith during the
70-years Babylonian captivity[606-537 BC]. At this time the newly
developed Square, or Classical Hebrew was extant, as demonstrated
by Daniel, Ezekiel et al, although Daniel's writing style held a
greater influence on later biblical scribes, particularly Ezra.

Moses penned his autograph in the cursive "paleo/archaic" Hebrew
script contemporaneous with the alphabetic proto-Sinaitic script
popularized in Egypt circa 14th century BC. The earliest known
Hebrew alphabet was very similar to the early Aramaic and other
variations of the Canaanite language-family of North West Semitic
alphabets which the majority of secular scholars have attributed
to Phoenician origin(Phoenicia, now Lebanon, part of OT "Land of
Canaan"). The oldest extant example of archaic Hebrew is the Gezer
Calendar, dated c. 10th century BC, which varies only slightly
from its allegedly "antecedent" North Semitic alphabet. But an
ever-growing catalogue of archeological discoveries point to a
"proto-semitic" language common to all lands of the greater region
of Palestine and beyond, e.g. the language of the "Moabite Stone"
discovered in Jordan is written in a language very similar to the
Hebrew including the "vav" consecutive. These and other evidences
indicate Hebrew to predate, NOT post-date those of the Phoenician
or Punic origins, which are also closely related to Ugaritic, with
inscriptions discovered at Ugarit dating to the 14th-13th centuries
BC. Other, less similar inscriptions have been discovered in Ebla,
dubbed "Eblaite", dating to 2000+ BC. Language-scripts were often
mixed--literally--where composite writings utilized cousin-scripts
for the written word. In addition to hieroglyphs[sacred symbols],
the Egyptians used two other writing systems. The cursive script
known as "Hieratic" was commonly used for papyrus documents by the
2nd millinnium BC, and had developed into the much more elegant
"Demotic" cursive script by 700 BC. The distinctions between the
ancient Egyptian and Hebrew languages become blurred, with recent
discoveries showing that at least some ancient Israelite scribes
were acquainted with both languages and scripts, incorporating
Egyptian metrology symbols by the 9th-6th centuries BC. Also, what
W.F. Albright termed "Egyptian Syllabic Orthography," where standard
Egyptian symbols were combined to transliterate known Semitic words
and phrases, such as the NW Semitic incantations of Egyptian magical
papyri which were transcribed in the Egyptian hieratic, the London
Magical Papyrus dated 14th-century BC, the Harris Magical Papyrus
and the the Papyrus Anastasi I (both are dated c. 13th-century BC),
and the Ostracon 25759 recto(early 11th-century BC). These and other
exhibits demonstrate that the ancient Egyptian scribes were versed
in the proto-Semitic/Hebraic languages as to properly transliterate
manuscripts using their own writing systems, and which also proves
that these early Hebrew texts were extant by or before the 14th
century BC, about the time of Moses, with various dating for Moses'
birth in the 17th-16th centuries BC. This proves that the theory
for Phoenician antecedance to the Hebrew script is unfounded, and
is evidential for a "common prototype" for the majority-concensus.

With further examples too numerous to cite, even renowned scholar
Maimonides composed 'The Guide for the Perplexed' in *Arabic* but
used the Hebrew script. &At the very extreme, renowned philologist
Isaac Mozeson asserted in his book 'The Word' that Hebrew was the
universal language from Adam till the dispersion at Babel, with
collective archetypes at the root of all languages the world over.
Such assertions may sound entirely absurd to those less- or un-
familiar with various philologies and etymologies but the grand
design--and the presence of His divine purpose--of the Universe
is, at least to many of us, discernable, if not self-evident to
the truly conscientious observer. I believe languages date back
millions of years, not merely thousands, and that language in its
myriad forms is not the exclusive purview of Homo sapiens, either.

As a footnote, I've been surprised to learn just how few Greek-
speaking persons of today realize that the classic Greek, which
evolved into its distinctive Aeolic(West), Ionic-Attic, and the
lesser Arcado-Cypriot dialects, itself derived from the early
consonantal Semitic model c. 8th century BC(the Mycenaean-Greek
script did not survive Dorian invasions in the 12th-century BC).

Early Greek was similarly devoid of vowel signs(pointers) and was
written from right to left, just like the Hebrew. A comparison of
the Hebrew character set with that of the Greeks reveals striking
similarities, e.g. Aleph/Alpha, Beth/Beta, Gimel/Gamma, Daleth/
Delta, Kaph/Kappa, Lamedh/Lambda, Mem/Mu, Nun/Nu, Tau/Tau, Resh/
Rho, Shin/Sigma, etc, but the Greeks soon added the five written
vowels a,e,i,o & u (yet only spoken in the paleo-Hebrew). Within
the next three centuries, the Greeks added the letters Phi, Khi,
Xi, Psi, Eta and Omega, yielding to the superior vernacular
of the koi-ne'(Athenian/common inflectional) Greek by the late
2nd century BC.

The Hebrews themselves are closely associated with the Habiru,
[var. Khapiru, Khabiru; Egyptian Apiru, Aperu], some of whom
lived in Ugarit[Ras Shamrah], and who are also associated
with the wondering tribes throughout Mesopotamia at the time
of Hammurabi, and who were joined by the Israelites(proper)
after the time of the Exodus c. 16th-15th centuries BC. The
fact that they were semi-nomadic accounts for their proto-
Semitic language being transmitted among various cultures,
with Moses' influence firmly establishing the Hebrews and
their ancient language from that era onward.
