-Caveat Lector- Top European banking executives meet in Helsinki HELSINKI, May 20 (Reuters) - Top executives of leading European banks are meeting in Helsinki this week for the semi-annual discussions of the secretive Institut International d'Etudes Bancaires (IIEB), Finnish bank officials said. "This is a regular meeting that has taken place twice a year since 1952," MeritaNordbanken spokesman Timo Nikinmaa told Reuters. Nikinmaa declined to give any further details. "It's a closed meeting... They keep a low profile," he said. A manager of Helsinki's newest luxury hotel, the Kamp -- not yet open to the public -- confirmed that the meeting was taking place there, but gave no further details.
