FYI, several well-made [talking] points why Hillary Rodham
Clinton's [HRC]
run for NY Senate will not be as smooth as she and her hubby
would hope. Feel free to distribute widely. [These are snips from
newspapers, so there's no copyright infringement issue in
distributing the
following talking points.]
->> MANY NEW YORKERS WILL NOT WELCOME HILLARY CLINTON'S RUN FOR
NY SENATE:
"I don't think people are going to be warm and cuddly about this
[HRC's run]," said Lisa Newmark, a lawyer and registered Democrat. "It
looks like she's using us to get an open seat."
->> HILLARY CLINTON HAS NO TIES TO NY WHATSOEVER: HRC grew up in
Illinois; attended college in Massachusetts; went to law school in
Connecticut; she spent her professional life in Arkansas and Washington.
This
begs the simple question: Why NY??

"Hillary's idea of NY is the Plaza Hotel and the Hamptons, and that's

"mag-lev," a decade-old issue involving key high-speed rail technology.
Employees there were stunned and disappointed, according to various news
reports.
->> HILLARY CLINTON IS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE NY STATE REGION:
Earlier in June, HRC told a Manhattan crowd that she had been to Elmira,
implying that she had visited there recently. But local officials said
they
did not remember her visit. Turns out, according to her spokespeople,
HRC had allegedly "passed through" the upstate NY town when she was a
teenager!
->> HILLARY CLINTON'S OWN DEMOCRATIC PARTY UNSURE WHY SHE'S
RUNNING FOR NY SENATE: "Hmm. I don't know. Maybe the diversity of the
state?"
says Barbara Paoletti, Democratic chairman in Broome County [upstate
NY],
when asked why Hillary Clinton wants to suddenly address issues in NY.
->> POPULAR NY MAYOR ALONG WITH MANY NEW YORKERS BELIEVES
HILLARY CLINTON MAY BE USING NY AS A 'POLITICAL STEPPING STONE': In a
recent fund-raising letter, popular NY Mayor Rudy Giuliani, writes, "New
York is not
a political stepping stone."
