The more things "change," the more they stay the same ...
Way back in 1980, a friend obtained a photograph courtesy of British
geomantic author John Michell that showed Stonehenge surrounded by a menacing
looking circle of grim faced bobbies. We printed it in our arts magazine --
for IRONY, alongside my article on "sacred sites," with maps of US and global
geomagnetic and gravitational anomalies.
Like all "sacred" sites, e.g., the Great Pyramid and Sphinx in Egypt,
Stonehenge is essentially national "private property" patrolled by state
goons who keep the "masses" out. Only once in a while, mostly to feed the
tabloids and to encourage the paying "tourist" trade, was it made available
to pretend-Druids to indulge in their silliness.
