Quinn's story is totally bogus. There are no such "Mind Control Program
Setup" instructions in Dazzle. I challenged him to produce a copy of the
program with such instructions and he admitted he never saw one (he was
quoting a source and never fact-checked the story). But he's still putting
out the disinformation, I see. Why don't you ask him for some evidence?

Hi Julleia,
I just finished de-compiling my copy of DAZZLE.
Still haven't found anything of what you describe.

Could you supply some documented references
as to where all this is located within the program.
I seen the opening and closing screen where it makes
reference to the creators of the screensaver.
I have yet to see anything about any other creator(s)
in these screens.

As for the refresh rate of this particule screensaver,
You can slow it down to where you can see every
change as it is happening, or you can make it as fast
as it can go. And you can do screen captures of any
of the screens the screensaver makes and save them
as PCX files for future reference.

I have saved several 3rd & 7th. frames with both the
built in screen capture and a stand-alone screen
capture program and have yet to see anything that
could be remotely construed as a subliminal message.

I think you should go back to your "un-named source"
and get some actual documentation as to these
contentions. So far I haven't been able to recreate
anything of what you posted about this screensaver.
Jim

Forwarded with permission (list members are advised to exercise
caution in running this program; a new virus just unleashed uses a screen
saver as a front for a covert program that remotely monitors all computer
activity;
a screen saver is ideal for that purpose since it's always running in
the background).

Hi Jim, (& Wes?)--

I don't have the program and if I did don't think I could run it, as far
as I know, as I use a mac. I have no reason to think that my source
would be misleading me as they certainly never have before. The document
I reproduced is in the manual, and the Russian text file is reportedly
on the floppy. I am supposed to be getting both in a couple of days. I
would be glad to pass it on as I don't think I'll be able to run it.
Till then, can't say much more.

Take care
John Quinn

Wes,

Here is the most recent version of Dazzle Plus which I purchased and
downloaded from the web. I send it to you for your examination. I have
spoken with Mr. J.R. Shiflett on two occasions, once in the early 90's
and again in 1997. In fact he lives just twenty miles north of the
Houston area in the Woodlands and claims that most of the work he does
is geared to engineering. He has told me he had trouble making Dazzle
a commercial success. Also, the screen saver is still commercially
available. That's about all I know with regard to this. The file
attached is the whole program, ie. a self extracting archive that's
been zipped. Let me know what you find. These posts appear to me as
disinformation and perhaps a hatchet job on the author. But why? I
know John A. Quinn and I like him but I think I'd like to know more
about John's source.

Couple of other things:

1. "due to the fact that there is a "message" which appears when the
program is loading which states that "thanks" is due to the "Creator"
for development of the program. NOT the creator of the application,
but the creator of "ALL." That is, God."

He does claim credit as the creator contrary to what this says. This
is kind of weird, you'll have to see for yourself.

2. "My sources were able to open up a document file on the floppy disk
containing the Dazzle application: it was written in Russian! This as
it turns out in fact is nothing but a low-level "encryption" of the
information within, intended to act as a decoy and "red herring" for
anyone who manages to open the file who isn't "supposed" to; and would
serve to detour further scrutiny of the information in terms of the
actual origin or source of this information."

This if true is very disturbing. There are a lot of very wealthy and
powerfull Houston area Bolsheviks.

3. "My source indicated that there is good reason to believe that
principal developer and apparent owner of Midnight Visions Black Op's
Workshop in Spring, Texas, named as a J.R. Shiflett, was in fact none
other than DAVID KORESH!"

J.R. Shiflett is not David Koresh! That's just nonsense.
