While this may be so, it is a fact that other sites where "hard evidence" of
man's earlier habitation of North America has been discovered, have been
derided by the "recalcitrant Archeological/Anthropological community".
Sheguianda, and several sites in Mexico and South America come to mind.  The
people who did the field work followed the same rigorous scientific method as
those who dismiss them, but that is not good enough in some cases.  Comparing
this state of affairs to UFOlogy and the like is counterproductive, because
we are talking about established scientists with results of hard physical
evidence, which UFOlogy is sorely lacking.
