(1.) A single embedded chip failure could conceivably end most life on
earth by causing a nuclear meltdown. It only takes one atomic volcano to
ruin the whole day.
(2.) On the other hand, let's say that as you say, they are "invented," a
not at all unlikely scenario. What does that imply?
